Congratulations to Claire!
Congratulations to Claire Baetzold for being recognized with a Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) award from the University of Minnesota for Spring 2017, which focuses on working with fluorescent proteins. She wrote her proposal, which was reviewed by faculty, and received a stipend and supply money to support her work. Great job!

Kaelt Simpson recognized at the Tekne Awards!
Kaelt was recognized at the 2016 Tekne Awards, which are presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association, on Wednesday, November 16, in Minneapolis. She is a recipient of a MHTA Scholarship. Great job!

Nathan Korson and Claire Baetzold present their summer research at the UMD Chemistry & Biochemistry's Summer Undergraduate Research Program Poster Symposium. Nathan's poster focuses on his success at building our fluorescence correlation and cross-correlation spectroscopy system this summer, which will help us greatly. Claire's poster focuses on her excellent job of learning the ways of biochemistry and molecular biology to express and purify fluorescent proteins from E. coli. Congratulations!
