Outstanding Student Organization Advisor award to Erin
Erin was recognized as an Outstanding Advisor to a Student Organization Award for the 2017 UMD Student Awards Program. She is the co-advisor (and founding advisor) of the Society of Chemists & Biochemists. This group focuses on networking and professional development of our undergrad and grad students and building a community with faculty and staff.

Congratulations to Claire!
Congratulations to Claire Baetzold for being recognized with a Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) award from the University of Minnesota for Spring 2017, which focuses on working with fluorescent proteins. She wrote her proposal, which was reviewed by faculty, and received a stipend and supply money to support her work. Great job!

Kaelt Simpson recognized at the Tekne Awards!
Kaelt was recognized at the 2016 Tekne Awards, which are presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association, on Wednesday, November 16, in Minneapolis. She is a recipient of a MHTA Scholarship. Great job!
